Terms of use
1. What this service is
HanziToday is a free tool for practising Chinese character writing. No account is required.
You use it to study on your own. We do not sell courses, we do not issue certificates, and we do not represent any organisation.
2. Your data
Your plan and progress are stored in the browser on your device. We have no server holding study data and no way to read it.
As a consequence, switching devices or clearing browser data loses your progress permanently. Details are on the Privacy page.
3. You agree
Not to use the service for unlawful purposes.
Not to attempt to disrupt, damage or probe the system.
4. Content and ownership
The interface code and the text on this site belong to HanziToday.
Stroke data comes from a third-party project — see the Credits page for its source and licence.
5. Changes and interruptions
We may change, add to, or discontinue any part of the service without notice.
There is no guarantee of continuous availability. If the site goes down, the data on your device remains, because it does not depend on a server.
6. Limitation of liability
The service is provided as is, without warranties. See the Disclaimer page.
7. Governing law
These terms are interpreted under the laws of Vietnam.
8. Feedback you send
If you send feedback through the form, we may use that content to fix problems and improve the site.
We will not publish your feedback verbatim together with your name or email without asking you first.
9. Termination
We may block access if we find abuse, probing, or attempts to damage the service.
Because there are no accounts, "termination" only means blocking access from that source — the data on your device is unaffected and nobody can take it.
